Every charter includes rods, reels, bait, tackle, fish cleaning at the end of the day, and a licensed Captain (Captain Dakota Obrzut) running the boat. You bring snacks, drinks, sunscreen, layers, and a Michigan fishing license. Tipping the captain (15–20%) is customary if you had a great trip.

Half-day River Walleye and Multi-Species charters start at $450. Lake St. Clair Walleye trips are $500. LSC Perch and full-day charters are quoted on request. All trips include rods, reels, bait, tackle, and fish cleaning. Add $75 for a 4th angler.

Spring and early summer are prime for walleye on the St. Clair River. Post-spawn fish stage in the river system from late April through June, holding behind current breaks, wing dam eddies, and weed-edge transitions. By mid-summer the program shifts to Lake St. Clair, where we troll open water for bigger fish.

Lake St. Clair and the St. Clair River delta hold walleye, yellow perch, smallmouth and largemouth bass, muskellunge, and sturgeon. Walleye and perch are our most consistent targets. Spring is hot for river walleye; summer brings stacked Lake St. Clair perch schools and open-water walleye action.

Yes — anyone 17 or older needs a current Michigan fishing license to fish on the St. Clair River, Lake St. Clair, or any state waters. Pick one up online in a few minutes at michigan.gov/dnr before your trip. Licenses aren't included in the charter price.

Each charter is set up for 1–3 anglers, with the option to add a 4th for an additional $75. The boat handles small groups well — perfect for buddies, family, or a solo trip with the captain.

Most trips are half-day charters — about 5 hours on the water. Walleye runs typically launch at sunrise; perch trips run later morning when the schools stack up. Full-day and multi-species options are available on request.

Absolutely. The St. Clair River delta is one of the best places in Michigan to take kids fishing — fast action, lots of variety, and calm water on most days. Captain Dakota teaches the basics on the boat and works with anglers of every experience level. Note: anyone 17 or older still needs a Michigan fishing license.rd. We're here to guide the process, bring ideas to the table, and keep things moving.

Snacks, drinks (no glass), sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, a hat, layered clothing, and your Michigan fishing license. Closed-toe shoes are a smart move — decks get slippery. We provide all rods, reels, bait, and tackle.

Safety first, always. If conditions aren't safe to fish (high winds, lightning, or dangerous water on Lake St. Clair), we'll reschedule your charter for the next available date that works for you. No cancellation penalty for weather calls.

River walleye trips work the St. Clair River with heavier jigs and minnows in current breaks, eddies, and channel structure — high-percentage action with consistent eater-size fish. Lake St. Clair walleye trips run on bigger open water using trolled crankbaits and bottom bouncers; expect fewer but typically larger fish, and a real chance at trophy-class walleye.

Two to six weeks is a safe window for spring and summer weekends — those fill up first. Weekday dates are usually more flexible. Peak holidays (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day) typically book one to two months out.
